About Me

Saxophonist, bassoonist, and composer Adam Vasilko has been playing the saxophone for 13 years. Studying first under James Rawlinson (sax) and Polly Phillips (bassoon), Adam was a key member of many ensembles and orchestras across Dorset, where he is based, and London, including WYSO, ESO and various PSYM groups. In addition to making it onto the University of Oxford's RAM teaching scheme, Adam now studies under Guy Passey in Didcot. He is now in his 2nd year reading BA music at St Hilda's College, Oxford University, at which he has enjoyed a variety of solo and orchestral performance opportunities on sax and bassoon, including the Oxford Festival of Arts and numerous lunchtime recitals in the Jacqueline du Pré Music Building. He was awarded the Ming Alsop-Lim Music Scholarship by St Hilda's College in November 2025.

Also a passionate composer, Adam has composed a variety of pieces for chamber groups and orchestras, premiered by groups such as the Dorset Chamber Orchestra and the Wessex Youth Symphony Orchestra. Snippets and videos are available for listening below and on Adam's Instagram and Youtube. Commissions are always welcome.
